Share your materials

Many schools engaged in the Rights Respecting Schools Award develop their own resources for their rights respecting work.

If you’d like to share materials that your school has created, please read our submission guidance below. We welcome submissions from all schools involved in the Rights Respecting Schools Award. Send us ideas for class activities, displays and charters, newsletters, letters to parents, assembly plans, videos, songs and other materials. All submitted materials are quality checked by our team.

We share these materials with everyone involved and interested in the Award via this webpage or on our separate online storage site (this is available to registered schools only).

We will add materials as we receive them from schools, so please come back to this page on a regular basis.

Criteria for submitted materials

• Consent: all children, young people and adults in the photos, videos or stories have given informed consent for the material(s) to be used publicly and with no limit in time. Make sure to confirm this in writing when you send us your materials and include a copy of your consent form
• Relevance: materials must be relevant to the context of the RRSA and children’s rights. It can be a resource on how to link rights and global citizenship or tips on how to become rights respecting or any other document relevant to the Award (letters, displays, posters, etc)
• Correct use of copyright: make sure the materials you submit do not include any music, images, videos or branding which would require copyright licence when used publicly
• Accuracy: make sure to double-check that your materials are accurate in their content and use of rights language and are in line with the work of UNICEF UK and the Rights Respecting Schools Award
