Neither Safe Nor Sound
Neither Safe Nor Sound is a study commissioned by Unicef of the appalling situation for unaccompanied children in northern France, including Calais and Dunkirk.
The study is based on interviews with 60 children between the ages of 11-17, living in the camps and slums along the coast of the English Channel between January and April 2016.
It reveals the traumas they have suffered to get there, the horrific and dire living conditions they are exposed to in the camps and the continuous risks they are taking to be reunited with family members.
