Gather your colleagues to raise vital funds for children
Fundraising at your place of work can be a great way to enhance your working relationships, encourage team building and transform the world for children.
There are lots of ways you can raise money in your workplace, below are just a few ideas to get you started.
Fundraising ideas for your workplace
Sweepstake
In it to win it. Whether it’s Wimbledon, the Grand National or Eurovision, everyone loves a sweepstake. Source a prize, then ask your colleagues to pay to play.
Donate a percentage of your pay
Donate your last hour’s pay each month – and encourage others to follow your shining example.
Workplace jargon
Set up a ‘workplace jargon’ jar. ‘Close of play’, ‘shall we take this offline?’ ‘let’s circle back’. Set your most used phases and watch the donations roll in.
Raffle your leave
Raffle an extra day of annual leave – the more tickets your colleagues pay, the more chance they have to win a day off!
Payroll donations
Check if your company offers payroll donations, and set up a regular donation to UNICEF. It’s a great way of donating to our work for children and it’s tax free.
Matched donations
Many companies offer to match the fundraising efforts of their employees, including through payroll giving. Your company may have a scheme that matches £1 for £1 or an allocation per member of the team. Speak to your HR department to find out more.
