Donate to Lebanon to provide humanitarian aid for children and families in crisis

Last updated: 29/10/2024

Growing violence in Lebanon has forced tens of thousands of children and families to flee their homes to seek safety. Since 23 September 2024, over 2,000 people have been killed including over 100 children.

Over 1.2 million people are suffering in this crisis.

Children in both Lebanon and Israel are navigating constant threats to their safety and well-being. No child deserves to experience this terror.

We are calling for the de-escalation of hostilities. We also urge all parties to uphold international humanitarian law, including the protection of children, civilians, and medical personnel.

Please donate to Lebanon to provide vital aid and support to children and families in this crisis.

What are children experiencing in Lebanon?

  • More than 400,000 people have fled to Syria due to the airstrikes, a neighbouring country also in crisis.
  • Almost all shelters for displaced people are full.
  • Children are experiencing major disruption to their education following the postponement of the new school year and suspension of classes.
  • Approximately 40% of enrolled students are now displaced.
  • 317 Primary Health Care Centres in high-risk areas have closed, so many children have reduced access to healthcare.
  • 26 water facilities are now damaged, affecting the water supply for over 340,000 people.

You can support us to provide aid and support for children in Lebanon affected by the crisis. Please donate today.

How are we providing aid and support to children in Lebanon?

We are working with the Ministry of Education and our partners on a Learning Continuity Response Plan to develop educational options for the new school year, as most schools are being used as shelters for displaced people.

Alongside partners, we have supplied:

  • Ready-to-eat food and cash to meet the needs of 200,000 people daily
  • 287,055 litres of bottled water and trucked water
  • 13,357 blankets
  • 6,221 mattresses and sleeping bags
  • 7,730 hygiene kits and 6,676 dignity kits with items tailored to the needs of women and girls
  • 1,452 baby kits with items tailored to the needs of newborns

We need your support to reach more children and families with life-saving humanitarian aid. Donate to our Lebanon crisis appeal to support us to provide urgent relief.

How to help Lebanon

The best way to help families and children in Lebanon is by donating to a charity on the ground, providing humanitarian aid and support.

One of the most impactful ways you can support is by signing up to a monthly donation. For the first 6 months, your monthly Lebanon donation will go towards funding our work to support children in Lebanon. After that, donations will go to support our work around the world.

In the unlikely event that the funds raised exceed what’s needed for the Lebanon emergency appeal, or if funds cannot viably be directed to this appeal, we will direct funds to support our work in keeping children safe and healthy around the world.
