Donate to help us reach more children and families in Gaza
The ceasefire is here. Children need you now.
Throughout Gaza and the wider State of Palestine, 1.5 million children need urgent support. The war has had a horrific impact on children and their families, which will last long after the fighting stops.
60% of those killed in Gaza are women and children. Children and families have faced repeat displacement, widespread violence, hunger and disease. The risk of famine is growing.
We must use this moment to reach even more children with life-saving assistance. With our partners, we have scaled up our response to meet the enormous need for humanitarian aid. UNICEF has hundreds of trucks of supplies on standby to reach children and families who need them.
With the ceasefire in place, we will prioritise:
- Catch-up vaccinations for 420,000 children to prevent deadly diseases.
- Increased diagnosis and treatment of malnourished children.
- Access to clean water for drinking and washing.

How to donate to Gaza
Your donation will help us support children in Gaza and the wider State of Palestine. One of the best ways to donate to Palestine and support our work is through a monthly direct debit.
For example, you can help to alleviate the devastating effects of malnutrition with just £10 a month. This could provide a week’s worth of life-saving therapeutic food for a child.
Alternatively, you can opt for a one-off donation if you wish. £39 could provide a family with an emergency water and hygiene kit.
Whatever you choose to donate, you will help to make a difference in the lives of children in Gaza.
What are children experiencing in Gaza?
- Shelling and arson have destroyed 534 schools throughout Gaza.
- 90% of people in Gaza are internally displaced.
- Thousands of children have been cut off from treatment for moderate and severe acute malnutrition, putting them at risk of death.
These conditions are intolerable. They pose long-term threats to the quality of life for children and their families. Please donate to support Palestine and help children in Gaza today.
How are we helping children in Gaza?
We continue to work with our partners and Palestinian health authorities to reach people with life-saving interventions, including vaccines. The second round of the polio vaccination campaign concluded with more than 556,000 vaccinated children, and over 448,000 receiving Vitamin A.
So far we have supported Palestinian children and families in the following ways:
- Ensured the provision of water to cover 1.8 million people.
- Reached over 1 million individuals (including 172,000 families) with humanitarian cash transfers channelled digitally since 7 October 2023.
- Restored learning and play for 52,000 children through 99 Temporary Learning Spaces
- Screened 63,000 children for acute malnutrition, resulting in over 4,000 children being identified and treated with lifesaving nutrition.
- Continued to provide psycho-social support for displaced children and caregivers in areas such as Gaza, North Gaza, Khan Younis and Rafah.
Unfortunately, this only meets a tiny proportion of the need. As conditions worsen and supplies quickly run out, we need your donations to help us support Palestine and reach more children.
FAQs
A lasting ceasefire is vital for saving and rebuilding children’s lives. The ceasefire must be upheld and its terms adhered to by all parties to the agreement.
At the present time, to help us meet the needs of children and families affected by the conflict in Gaza, we are calling for:
- A lasting ceasefire.
- Protection and access for those delivering assistance.
- Increased access for trucks bringing life-saving supplies into Gaza.
- Immediate, safe, and unconditional release of all abducted children.
- Prioritisation of children both now and in the process of recovery and reconstruction.
- Meaningful responses to the conflict in Gaza must include trauma-informed child-centred services and development.
- Lasting political solution to the crisis, so that children in Palestine and Israel can grow up in peace and free from the shadow of violence.
We are calling for all parties to adhere to the ceasefire agreement terms, and to unconditionally protect children from harm no matter who or where they are.
We are an impartial, non-political humanitarian organisation.
While we continue to report on and advocate for the protection of all children in both Gaza and Israel, our humanitarian response is driven by the need for aid in Palestine.
Before the renewed violence between October 2023 and January 2025, one million children needed humanitarian aid in Gaza and the West Bank. In high-income countries such as Israel, the State usually provides the supplies and services for children that we undertake or supports in lower income countries.
There is a National Committee for UNICEF in Israel – the Israeli Fund for UNICEF – that works to promote and raise awareness of children’s rights in Israel and to raise funds for our work across the world. You can find out more about its work here.
Alongside this Gaza emergency appeal, we have an ongoing humanitarian programme in Gaza. We have continued to provide supplies and services during the escalation of hostilities and will continue to support children and families in Gaza after the ceasefire.
Alongside our partners, we have moved hundreds of trucks into Gaza with critical emergency supplies such as:
- Hygiene kits
- Nutritional food
- Baby nappies
- Winter clothes
- Water containers

You can send in your cheque, made payable to UNICEF UK, to the Donations Team, UNICEF UK, 1 Westfield Avenue, Stratford, London E20 1HZ. Please include a covering letter with your name and address details.
If you would prefer to make a single one-off Gaza donation, you can select this option in the donation form on this page or over the phone.
One of the simplest ways to donate to Palestine is by monthly direct debit. Please donate today to support Palestine and help improve the lives of children. As little as £5 per month can provide 1,786 water purification tablets to purify water.
How will your donation be used?
For the first 6 months, your monthly Gaza donation will go towards funding our work to support children in Gaza and the wider State of Palestine. After that, donations will go to support our work around the world.
In the unlikely event that the funds raised exceed what’s needed for the Gaza emergency appeal, or if funds cannot viably be directed to this appeal, we will direct funds to support our work to help keep children safe and healthy around the world.
