Tanni Grey-Thompson is one of Britain’s greatest ever Paralympic athletes, holding 11 gold medals.

Tanni started supporting UNICEF UK in 2009 through International Inspiration – London 2012’s global sports legacy programme for children and young people.

In 2009 Tanni visited Jordan, where she saw how International Inspiration projects are helping young people build a better future for themselves through quality physical education, sport and play.

In 2012, the Inspired by Sport exhibition was held at the Museum of London to celebrate the programme,  featuring iconic photos by Rankin of athletes including Tanni, Denise Lewis and Colin Jackson, as well as images of young people around the world whose lives have been enriched by the International Inspiration.

Tanni continues to be an incredible advocate for our work in the UK and internationally, including contributing to UNICEF’s State of the World’s Children 2013 report, dedicated to the situation of children with disabilities.
