Climate Crisis is a
Child Rights Crisis

Campaign with us to put children first

Climate change is changing our world, and the most vulnerable children are being hit the hardest. These children often live in countries that aren’t climate-resilient, meaning they are not equipped to deal with the impacts.

Right now, the basic systems that children rely on are cracking under the pressure of extreme heat, droughts and floods. These systems include food production, education, water, hygiene and sanitation.

Widespread conflict, disease and poverty are worsening the impacts of climate change.

Please sign our petition to support our efforts to urge the UK Government to increase UK Aid and ensure that basic services for the world’s poorest children are climate-resilient.

Children should be the heart of climate change actions, decisions and plans.

What are we calling for?

The UK Government must commit to a Global Growing Up Promise: prioritising and protecting the most vulnerable children and investing in the climate-resilient services they need—not just to survive, but to thrive.

We want the UK Government to:

  • Protect children, their rights, and the services they need from the immediate impacts of the climate crisis through investing in adaptation of health care, education and nutrition services.
  • Lead efforts to drive more climate finance toward adaptation, and to support child-centred adaptation initiatives.
  • Integrate children’s voices into climate policies and plans and include children and youth in the UK’s official delegation to the annual Conference of the Parties, also known as COP.
