Audit tools

Audit tools enable health professionals to monitor their progress in supporting feeding and relationship building and achieving Baby Friendly accreditation.

These audit tools are available for maternity, neonatal and community services and university programmes. Presented in a straightforward manner, they are easy to use by health professionals who may not have significant experience of auditing.

The files contain all the interview and scoring forms for staff/students and mothers, instructions for using the tools and example slides for presenting the results.

Each tool has been designed so that health professionals/lecturers can monitor their care as they implement the Baby Friendly standards in their facility. The tools will help identify when facilities are ready for Baby Friendly accreditation. And once the award is in place, the tools will help ensure that all the standards are fully maintained.
