It is intended to guide WHO European Region Member States in safeguarding parents and caregivers from promotion of breastmilk substitutes by reviewing current implementation of The International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes (the Code) and subsequent resolutions by the World Health Assembly, as well as the 2016 WHO Guidance on ending the inappropriate promotion of foods for infants and young children.
