As part of Soccer Aid in 2012, UNICEF Ambassador Ewan McGregor travelled to Bihar , India’s poorest state, where malnutrition during pregnancy contributes to one of the highest rates of newborn deaths in the country.
Ewan visited the special newborn care unit in Vaishali, which was set up by UNICEF to provide free, life-saving care for critically ill newborn babies like Munna, who was born at a shockingly low birth weight and suffered from jaundice.
UNICEF is providing life-saving care in newborn centres for babies like Munna across the world.
Just £20 could help buy the drugs needed by UNICEF-supported centres to help save the lives of five babies born dangerously underweight.
