Your money really does make a difference to children’s lives. UNICEF is funded entirely by voluntary contributions – we receive no money from the UN budget. For every pound that you donate to UNICEF UK, 76p goes directly to our work with children.
Spending in 2011
Here are some examples of how we spent money donated by UNICEF UK supporters in 2011:
- We committed £95 million to programmes for children worldwide.
- We provided emergency relief for children in 22 countries
- We provided 36.7 million Tetanus vaccines through our Pampers 1 Pack = 1 Vaccine campaign
- We arranged protection for more than 920,000 children from abuse and exploitation
